Does my child need a backpack and lunch box?
New Hope Early Learning will provide each student with a school bag that is to be used daily when coming to school. Students will have snack time during and will only be required to bring a lunch if they are staying for our Lunch Bunch program.

When is tuition due and how can I make my payments?
Tuition is due on the first of each month. A late fee of $25 is charged if payment is received after the 5th of the month. There are no deductions or refunds due to absenteeism.

Tuition payments can be sent in with your child or made ONLINE. Please note that there will be a $30 fee for any returned check.

How can I register for Parent’s Morning Out?
Parent’s Morning Out registration and reservations will be available online prior to the school year starting for the 2021/2022 school year.

Do you follow a curriculum?
We offer faith-based, child-centered and developmentally appropriate programs for each age group. We implement the play-based learning framework. This is a comprehensive system of learning based on research and knowledge regarding all areas of child development - social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

What is the dismissal procedure for inclement weather?
In the event that school is dismissed because of severe weather, announcements will be made on the radio and television. The intent is that our weekday program will be dismissed for severe weather if the public school suspends classes.

Is New Hope Early Learning a licensed facility?
New Hope Early Learning is licensed by the Child Care Licensing Department of Hillsborough County and has been inspected and approved by the Hillsborough County Health Departments and Fire Department.

Do you follow the public school calendar?
Yes, we follow the calendar of Hillsborough County Public Schools. You can access the 2020/2021 school calendar HERE.

Can parents attend class parties?
Siblings (older or younger) cannot be in the classroom. If you are planning to help in the class or participate in a party you must reserve a spot in Wee Play at least 48-hours in advance. We cannot supervise older siblings. You will need to find a place for them to stay during the party. There is no charge for the use of Wee Play during parties or when you volunteer in the classroom. Remember, in order to use Wee-Play your child must have a registration form, physical and shot record on file with us.

Can we celebrate our child’s birthday in the classroom?
You may make arrangements with your child’s teacher for a birthday part celebration. Please keep it simple. Do not send party invitations to school unless the entire class is invited. Children with summer birthdays may arrange a day in the spring to celebrate. Wee Play is available by reservation for siblings during parent participation parties. Siblings, older or younger, are not allowed in the classrooms.

What type of behavior management is used?
When a child is having a difficult time following directions or treating other or equipment with respect, developmentally appropriate guidance techniques are used. These techniques are as follows:
Positive Reinforcement: The child will be encouraged when he/she is demonstrating appropriate behavior.
Redirection: The child is redirected to another activity and given an opportunity to try again at another time.
When…Then” Statements: A statement is which the child is encouraged to accomplish something before going on to something else. Sample: “When you finish picking up the blocks, then you can go outside.”
”If…Then” Statements: A statement in which the child is encouraged to make a positive choice. Sample: “If you pick up the blocks, then you can go to the dress up play area.
Take a Break: The chid is separated from the group for a child-regulated period of time. This technique is used when a child is exhibiting temper tantrum type behavior or hurting self, other or equipment. When the child shows that he/she is ready to demonstrate acceptable behaviors, the child is encouraged to join the rest of the group and try again.
