Two-Year-Old Program

Children should be 2 by September 1st. This is a first-time experience for many children, and we strive to make it a pleasant, happy one for each child. A smooth transition from the care of a parent to the care of a teacher is important to us.

At this age, our classrooms focus on teaching the basics of peer socialization, like sharing, recognizing when others need help, negotiating personal space, and appropriate verbal communication. We work to help develop independent skills, like toileting, following 2-step instructions, opening food items, and cleaning up after themselves. Teachers also begin to guide emotional identification and appropriate expression. Daily Bible stories will also be a part of their learning and the values incorporated into classroom routines.
